It is for people who want to re-look at a business opportunity or for people who wants to do something to earn extra income. Or for people who are just curious.

Hi Everyone. 2008 gone.

Now it is the start of 2009.

Isn't it like the same thing year in and year out, same message same resolution.

2008 in the last quarter was doomed with financial crisis taking a toll on the US economy and bringing the whole world down with her.

40 to 60 percent of wealth across the world were wiped up within a week in October.

The year 2009 many economists are predicting a gloom year.

What do all these mean to us, the ordinary people?

We are whipped right, left and centre, by the whims and fancy of those with economic powers (now powerless) and left us to look after ourselves?

What if the worse it yet to come?

They cut jobs, raised prices and dictated what they want to do with us. What is your take on this?

Hasn't enough been enough?

Destiny and success is not in the hands of others. It is in God as well as in our own.

So come what come may, you are equipped to be your best. May God's blessings be bestored upon you for the whole of 2009.

We have a good business going so let us use it to improve people's health and impact their lives by offereing a business opportunity to start up something for themselves.

Building A Successful Business

To build a successful New Image business you need to understand how this business works.

Basically there are three elements in the business that you need to understand.

The first element is that New Image is a Direct Selling business, in other words it is Direct Retailing.

The the second element is New Image is a Network Marketing business.

The confusion begins when one thinks that Direct Selling (DS) or Direct Retailing and Network Marketing (NM) is the same.

They are not but has been synonymously associated because modern marketing opportunities offer a combination of the two elements in their marketing plan.

Then come a third element adding more confusion i.e. Multi Level Marketing (MLM). (I will be explaining each element in turn as we progress).

The maxim of 'How you think is how you act' holds true all the time.

One of the reasons why a lot of people fail in the doing this kind of business is because they didn't differentiate the three elements and work them differently but they work it as one.

Thus in haste they go into a frenzy of recruiting members hoping to build a large network, pushing products or selling products rather than giving them reasons why they should buy.

They push the idea of making a lot of money quickly, etc.

The failure comes even quicker when greed drives in, when the recruiter tries to persuade the member to buy in more than they need or manipulate the marketing plan to suit their selfish intention.

Thus Network Marketing got it's bad name as it has been construed a 'pyramid selling scheme,' whcih it is not. (I will discuss the the mojor differences between 'pyramid selling scheme' which is illegal and Network Marketing my next article).

They lost the sight of doing a meaningful business i.e. offering products to customers who need them.

That's what banks do; that's what pharmarcies do; that's what supermarkets do and so on -retailing and selling products directly to consumers.

Would you be able to earn RM 4,500 month by doing direct retailing?

Direct Selling or Direct Retailing means selling or marketing directly to a customer.

For examples, a financial planner sells an insurance plan to a customer and a bank officer selling bank products. These are direct selling or direct retailing.

So in New Image business selling Alpha Lipid Lifeline to a customer is direct retailing or selling.

It is a fairly decent business to do as you are promoting health and prevention of diseases.

You just need the correct approach and the right attitude to do the business well.

Just like in any business conventional for a business to be successful it must be based on having enough consumers buying the products or services.

New Image has a range of health products and supplements from Aloe Vera to Colostrum, Vitamins to Herbals.

The products have stood the test of time and are reputable for their effectiveness.

Most of the products have been in the market since 1984.

Because they are effective - they generate repeat business or sales. It is from repeat sales that provide you a residual income.

The right approach in this business is (1) to build up a consumer or customer base.

What Wikipedia Speaks About Direct Selling (Direct Retailing)?
Direct selling is a retail channel for the distribution of goods and services.

At a basic level it may be defined as marketing and selling products, person-to-person away from a fixed retail location.

Sales are typically made through party plan and other personal contact arrangements.

A text book definition is: "The direct personal presentation, demonstration, and sale of products and services to consumers, usually in their homes or at their jobs.

"The industry is global and growing.

Recent figures show almost fifty-five million people are involved and in 2007 it is estimated that worldwide retail sales accounted for more than US$111 Billion.

At its best, direct selling can be an opportunity for individuals to find fulfillment, express their entrepreneurial talents and gain financial independence.

At its worst, it can become a kind of pyramid scheme.

The Right Approach to building a retail business: Build a Loyal Consumer Base.

How to Build Consumer Base?

Step 1: First Be a Consumer Yourself!

Everyone needs health.

The problem is that most people who are not sick takes health for granted.

There is a saying "Health is Wealth".

It is so true because only when you are healthy you can be happy.

Imagine if you are sick, could you be happy?

Or if a family member you love is sick, could you be happy?

It is obviously 'No'!If you are not happy, most propbably you would not be able to work well?

It is only when you are happy, you are likely to be able to attract wealth to you - but not from the other way round.

The irony is, people who worked so hard to build wealth at the expense of health later suffer the regrets of being unable to enjoy the wealth they built.

I show them testimonies who people who benefited from colsotrum.

To those who are a bit internet savvy I give them the website where they can get more information e.g. http://www.colostrumresearch.org/ or http://www.newimageasia.com/.

I encourage them to try at least 1 Can of Alpha Lipid Lifeline or a bottle of Alpha Lipid Colostrum.

I know with a bit of extra effort now, it will go a long way.

The bench mark is out of every 10 I educate, 5 will buy and 3 continue every month. That is one can earn RM 4,500 a month by doing just that.

Here is how it is done to earn RM 4,500 per month.

If every week you got 3 new loyal customers, by 7th or 8th month you would have 90 loyal customers.

Even if each of them buys only 1 Can of Alpha Lipid Lifeline a month you would have made (90 Cans x RM 30) RM 2,700.

On top of that if you are a Supervisor you will also earn another RM 1,800 with a supervisor income.

Thus your total income would be RM 4,500 per month. Cool.

That's just doing Direct Retailing or Selling (not even netwrok marketing yet).

It's About Time

I think that it is about time that we rebuild our dreams.

Our mission statement still lives on, i.e. "To provide a business opportunity to people to enhance their lives so that they might have a better world".

We never give up, do we? No we are not quitters.

Although many of us had been dissappointed and at a certain point disillusioned, I believe right down in our hearts and souls we still believe that, that fire could be rekindled to burn as bright as it did before.

We had seen what it could have been. Let's finish what we came to do - to achieve our dreams.

It's about time, we regroup to give the good old glory days we once had.

Come on guys, we all can do it. Nik Hafiiz and his group have shown us they way. Congrats Nik and Maharina.

They are doing it with great success.

It's about time we do it.

Yesterday, David Jackson, Andrew Tan and I recommitted ourselves and take the initiatives to start doing business presentations in Kuala Lumpur We have set several dates for the start.
